C'mon! Is this website for real?

We Get That Question All The Time

We get that question all the time. "Is the Trash Curts Place website for real?" The answer is yes it is. Our website is not your conventional website but more of an archive of stories and photos of our annual fishing trip. Not really a website designed to get a lot of hits. Truth is we are not looking for hits because like we said before, this website is more of an archive rather than a real website. That said, our site is out there for all to see and we welcome your visit!

The fishing trip was started in 1977 when a few close took a trip to the Baskatong Reservoir and Club Chico Brunet. There were even a few unofficial fishing trips in the years before 1977 including a fly-in and a trip to La Verendrye Park. Over the years, many have come and gone but our trip has had the same core group of guys since the beginning.

So why is it called TrashCurtsPlace? It's a long story but someone had an accident on a trip in the late nineties. Someone dropped a bottle on a cement floor when we were staying at Curt's place. Everything got out of hand and Curt thought we were trashing his place. All was well in the end, but we thought, "Hey! What a great name for a website!" and TrashCurtsPlace was born.

So, yes our fishing trip is real and so is this website. To prove that our website is real, below is a photo evolution of one of our fishermen, Big Al. He was a participant on a few fishing trips before it was a real fishing trip and he has not missed a trip since then.
