Frank backs out, The Admiral's son joins us

Through miscommunication, misunderstanding and misfortune, Frank Franchellini backed out of our 2015 trip. Too bad for Frank because it was an excellent trip. The Admiral's son, Kyle joined us as the first of our second-generation fishermen. Kyle fit right into the mix but might have left shaking his head with everything that goes on during the weekend. We can only imagine the conversation on the way home with his dad.

Kyle was treated to some of the best hijinks we could offer including the incarnation of a former WW2 German military commander and some of the best bagpipe pop music ever! Not only that... Kyle hadn't done any serious fishing since he was a kid and caught a three-pound northern pike in Hennessey Bay! Waitago Kyle!

With Frank gone AWOL, everyone caught lots of fish including catfish, bullhead, sauger, northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, ling and sturgeon. Big Al won the weekend with a 12.5 pound bullhead to win the 2015 Canette.

Some things never change: Yep, as usual this year we had to drive into town to buy smokes for Big Al. He never brings enough.

Big thanks to the Admiral for preparing the great breakfasts, making the coffee... and cleaning up after! You are a good man!

So who farted on the 2015 Trip?

Farting is a big part of any trip. This year we decided to keep informal stats for the entire weekend and the results were not surprising. We only kept stats when everyone was together, like breakfasts and late night poker. The leaders on the list always made a point of letting everyone know they were farting. The guys with a '0' beside their names probably let some out but did not advertise like some of us. With the usual gas being let, there were no smellers of any kind. Here's the 2015 tally at Nangor:
