The 1994 Fishing Trip

O.J. Simpson Takes a ride in his White Bronco

Our 1994 fishing trip has been called by some The O.J. Simpson Fishing Trip. Our trip to Pourvoirie Beau Site on The Ottawa River near Alfred, Ontario was in to its second day when the O.J. Simpson story first broke. We listened on the radio as OJ's Bronco was being chased by Police near his Brentwood Estate.

This was the hottest fishing trip we have ever experienced. The temperature on Saturday, June 11 peaked at 37 degrees. With no air conditioning at Beau Site, we did lots of swimming in the Ottawa River or just sat under a tree with our ears glued to the radio listening to the news about O.J. Simpson

Fishing this area of the Ottawa River was totally awesome with a huge variety of fish. Fishermen on the 1994 trip included Phil Anderson, Curt Bowles, Tony DeFazio, Al Heaney, Warren Kidd, Al Macintyre, Ron Malloff and Ron Zinn.
