A Club Med for Fishing Vacations?

Lorne Spotswood's Laurentian View Resort on the Ottawa River near Pembroke, Ontario. When we first heard the name, we thought it might be like a Club Med for fishermen. When we got there, we discovered it was just like any other fishing place. The resort's owner, Lorne Spotswood told us that Laurentian View Resort has been in his family for generations.

The place had some of the best fishing we had seen in years. There were lots of fish for everyone and some nice sized ones, too. With an abnormal abundance of channel cats in the area, everyone caught at least one five pounder.
