The 2003 Fishing Trip

Laurentian View Resort, Westmeath, Ontario

West Nile and SARS leaves LVR all to us!

With last year's fishing trip being a wash out, our 2003 fishing trip was almost perfect. The rain held off for most of the trip, so we had lots of time for fishing. As usual at The Laurentian View Resort, everyone caught lots of fish. Species included smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, black bass, sturgeon, walleye, northern pike and channel cats.

Big Al

With Americans staying home because of fears of SARS and west nile, we were the only guests at the Laurentian View Resort and had the whole place to ourselves. We had our "core" group of fishermen and gamblers this year and that made it special: Phil Anderson, Al Davis, Warren Kidd, Al Macintyre, and Ron Zinn. Al Heaney backed out at the last minute due to business concerns.

RKR prepared the meals for everyone, Whop went home with pockets of money, and Al Davis took home the trophy with a 4.5 pound channel cat.
